How to measure for your wedding dress
How to measure
  • Typically bridal gowns are offered in only a few set sizes, such as size 10, 12, 14 etc We give our brides much more choice by selling wedding dresses in 1232 different size combinations!
    Importantly, there's no extra charge for plus size or larger wedding dresses.
    And no extra charge for non-standard shapes.
    All you need to measure is the bust, waist, hips and back-neck-to-waist in inches.

    • Bust

  • Measure around the fullest part of the bust and around the back.

    • Waist

  • Measure round the body at the natural waistline level with the belly button.

    • Hips

  • Measure round the body at the fullest part of the hips approximately 8 inches below the waistline

    • Back neck to waist

  • Tie a piece of string around the waistline, level with the belly button. Measure from the most prominent bone at the base of the neck to the piece of string.

    • Waist to Floor

    ( Only if more than 45 inches )
  • All adult skirt lengths are cut 45 inches from waist to the floor.
  • Measure, only if more than 45 inches, from the string at the waistline to the floor. Don't forget to wear your shoes. Please e-mail us this measurement with your online order.

  • Important: please don't add any extra 'ease' to these measurements as this will be allowed for in production.
  • Placing your order will secure your place in our work queue. For a myriad of personal reasons some brides aren't ready yet to submit their final measurements. No problem, you can secure your place in our work queue by ordering now: simply select the “I'll e-mail later” size option for any missing measurement. You then e-mail us the final measurements closer to your wedding date.
